How does the adoption process work?+
Enquire → yard visit → trial → adoption. We take our time to match horse and human.
Do I need to have owned a horse before?+
Not always. It depends on the horse. Some of our horses are perfect for confident first-time owners.
What does sponsorship cover?+
Feed, farrier and veterinary contributions for a horse in our care.
Can I visit the sanctuary?+
Yes, by appointment. We're a working yard, so we ask that you get in touch first.
How is Hawkez Haven funded?+
Hawkez Haven – Second Chances is an independent equine rescue operating through the generosity of supporters, volunteers, and the wider community. We are not a registered charity, government funded, SPCA affiliated, or a registered non-profit organisation.
Do you take horse surrenders?+
We do, based on capacity and case-by-case assessment. Please get in touch.
