Fostering can give a Hawkez Haven horse a safe, stable place to live while they recover, rebuild confidence or wait for the right next chapter.

What fostering means

A foster home provides appropriate day-to-day care, a suitable environment, consistent routine and communication with Hawkez Haven. Every horse is different, so arrangements are considered around the horse's health, temperament, management needs and the foster home's property and experience.

Hawkez Haven remains involved

Foster placement does not transfer ownership. Hawkez Haven remains involved in the horse's welfare and works with the foster home throughout the arrangement. Veterinary, feed and other practical responsibilities are discussed clearly before a horse is placed.

Finding the right match

We look at more than available grazing. Fencing, shelter, water, herd compatibility, handling experience, daily routine and the ability to follow the horse's management plan all matter.
